BRICS countries develop common approaches to AI regulation

President of Russia Vladimir Putin stated his intention to send a representative delegation to the AI Summit in New Delhi and particularly emphasised interest in broad partnership with India, including in the field of digitalisation.

The Artificial Intelligence Summit is a global forum organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of the Republic of India. It is dedicated to the responsible and inclusive development of technologies.

Artificial intelligence remains one of the priority areas of cooperation among BRICS countries. In November 2025, the group launched a hub comprising 80 verified AI use cases from 30 countries.

Experts note that coordination of efforts is necessary to develop common standards, ensure cross-border security and address global challenges, including pandemics, food security and combating the consequences of climate change.
