Madison Night Market to celebrate Wisconsin history and culture

Date:

MADISON, Wis. — Next Thursday’s Madison Night Market will take on the theme  “Celebrating Wisconsin & Its History,” showcasing the rich culture of our state through different activities, music and creators.

From 5 p.m.-9 p.m., night market-goers can explore “Little Milwaukee,” a collaboration with several organizations and businesses that’ll bring some popular Milwaukee-based vendors, such as Blue Mountain Co., Unfinished Legacy, and Lush Popcorn to our capital.

To honor Wisconsin’s European heritage, Piano Fondue will bring high-energy polka for attendees to enjoy. There will also be different musicians playing all along the market on State Street.

Also new next week is a family activity zone for the little ones and their guardians to enjoy.

The Aug. 21 market will feature hands-on pottery activities with Clay on the Move, and a creative rock-climbing activity with Scouting America.

Attendees are encouraged to pick up a free map from the Visitors Center and discover the stories behind Downtown Madison landmarks on the historical walking tour.
